i think it was a 98 or 99 once. Guy in his late 50s, early 60s. We ran about the same, he was shifting before the revs even got hi, i could tell because his left leg was slow hitting the clutch. it would be like, vvvvrooooooommmmmmmm, vvv, vvv, vvvvvvvvv, vroooooooooooooom , vvvvvv,vvvvv,vvvv he left the clutch out for a while. So we ran pretty much neck and neck. But then again it wasnt a new one. A TT is no match, Boxsters suck (IMO), but as for your NA, if you know how to shift your car, you can probably tie him or beat him. He probably wont know how to drive daddys new toy yet ;-)
